As a specialist service in complex physical and learning disabilities, autism and neurodivergence across the lifespan, we focus on understanding each individual's unique story, their strengths and challenges and working collaboratively to identify what needs to shift to create positive outcomes. This means recognising structural disadvantage and upholding fundamental rights which involves more than simply understanding the situation; it requires this understanding to be translated into robust, professional reports grounded in theory and legislation. This is crucial for evidence based practice - Because legal duties are powerful tools for positive change, and that's where the real value of social work lies.
